Studies in Law and Economics, founded in 1968, is an interdisciplinary journal that publishes research in the fields of law and economics. For many years, the journal has been attracting the attention of outstanding representatives of law and economics as well as up-and-coming, brilliant young researchers from Polish and foreign research institutions.

The journal consists of two parts: legal and economic.

The legal part covers the following research areas:

  • Dogmatics of Polish Law
  • Public Administration
  • Comparative Legal Research
  • Public International Law and EU law
  • Legal Theory, Philosophy, and History
  • Political Science and Political-Legal Doctrines
  • Canon Law
  • Economic Analysis of Law

The economic part covers the following research areas:

  • Economic Policy
  • Economic Growth
  • European Integration
  • Corporate Governance
  • History of Economic Thought
  • International Finance
  • Corporate Finance
  • Accounting and Tax System
  • Strategic Management
  • Human Resource Management

Due to the wide range of themes, Studies in Law and Economics positions itself as an international journal with significant national impact. The publications in the domains of economics, comparative, historical, and legal-theoretical studies define the international scope through their methods and English language. The articles written in Polish, mostly of a dogmatical-legal nature, determine the national scope of the journal as targeting business and legal professionals as well as Polish judiciary. The chosen publication language makes it easier to reach the recipients indicated above as well as supports and enables lively research on the national issues.
