Abstract

The paper discusses Pleistocene deposits in North Devon, including stratified solifluction layers ("head"), shelly boulder clays and large erratics. Sediment sequences indicate multiple glacial events. Key sections from Fremington, Saunton and Croyde Bay reflect changing climatic conditions and the influence of Irish Sea ice.
