The Biano Plateau is a sandy uplifted area east of the Upemba fault. This study explores the formation and rejuvenation of surrounding glacis in relation to climatic oscillations. Alternating dry and humid phases affected erosion, accumulation and chemical weathering. Key factors include coarse sediment cover, substrate resistance and fluvial incision. Tropical glacis show similarities to temperate counterparts.
