Abstract

In the moraines of the Fláajökull glacier (lceland) authors observed many forms that were induced totally or partly by the frost sorting processes. These forms were divided into the following groups: stone filled nests, sorted circles, sorted nets and different kinds of sorted stripes such as: soil-stone, and pebble-stone stripes, and stone filled furrows. The degree of evolution of these forms was noted as well as the frequency of their appearance on the moraine ridges of different age.
