TYTUŁ ORYGINALNY: L'évolution des versants des Carpates à flysch au Quaternaire
Skala zmian czwartorzędowych w profilach stoków bazuje na wartościach obniżenia powierzchni zrównań w późnym pliocenie. Obniżenie to waha się od kilku metrów w przypadku bardzo twardych piaskowców do wartości 40–60 m w przypadku miękkich piaskowców i łupków. Dla trzech głównych okresów zimnych plejstocenu sumaryczne obniżenie osiągnie co najmniej 30 m. Jest to wartość wystarczająca, aby większość stoków karpackich, zbudowanych głównie z serii soliflukcyjnych, uzyskała profil wypukło-wklęsły typowy profil dla gór średnich i płaskowyżów, które znajdowały się pod wpływem morfogenezy peryglacjalnej.
